Technical notes
SSL
We use secure technologies: Our ”SSL” secure server software encrypts all your personal data such as credit card number, bank sort code, bank account number, name and address. This information cannot be read by unauthorized persons during transmission over the Internet. During encryption, the characters you enter are converted into a code that can be transmitted securely over the Internet.
You may have to activate "SSL 2.0 + 3.0” in your browser. In Internet Explorer, you can set this option under ”Options” – ”Internet Options” – ”Advanced”.
You can easily recognize a secure connection. When you enter a secure area in the Internet, you receive notification from your Internet browser. A separate window opens in the browser informs you of the secure connection. If you have deactivated this window, you can recognize the encryption by the ”lock” symbol found on the status bar at the bottom of Internet Explorer. Secure connections can usually be recognized by their addresses, which begin with ”https://”.
